Melissa Buckland has over 15 years of experience working within the social service sector. She has passionately supported some of the most marginalized and vulnerable communities in the GTA, including women and children impacted by violence, individuals and families with histories of severe and persistent mental health issues, drug/ substance use and trauma as well as youth, newcomer, homeless and street involved communities.
She currently works as a clinical counsellor with Age to Age Training, Education and Counselling Inc. within the domestic violence team. Melissa carries with her a great passion and commitment to help restore lost hope that is so intimately tied/ linked to histories and experiences of abuse and trauma.
Further to this, she is committed to helping clients shift/ move from a state of 'just surviving' to reaching an elevated state of well-being. She holds a BSW from Ryerson University and a partial MSW from York University.
